The room was dirty and smelled bad, and there weren't any blankets. When we asked for some or mentioned the other problems, the staff acted like we were bothering them. The whole hotel had a stale, musty smell, and the stairs were filthy. The elevator had an out-of-order sign, though it actually worked. We also never saw the hot tub, and the pool heater was broken. There was no one at the desk when we arrived, and the service was mediocre from the start. I wouldn't come back or recommend this place.

We paid $120 a night, which these rooms just weren't worth. None of the air conditioners worked, so all three rooms were unbearably hot. In two of them, the sheets had body fluids on them. When we asked about getting clean ones, the person at the counter said he could bring sheets but we'd have to change them ourselves. The elevator felt like it might break down any second. The place looked shady and poorly maintained from the start, and unfortunately that turned out to be accurate. I've paid less at Super 8 for a cleaner room and better service.

The two people who were actually nice were the man who took our reservation by phone and the front desk man when we checked out. The rest of our 7/7/2018 stay was awful. Outside, there was a strong smell of decay around the building and parking lot. Inside, the hallway stank of marijuana and looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. The elevator was old and unsteady, and it smelled just as strongly. Our room looked straight out of the 70s. The TV only got some channels, and the lights barely lit anything. Even brushing against the bed made the headboard sound like it was going through the wall. The phone didn't work, so I had to use my cell to call the desk. They wouldn't give me another pillow, and said I had to come downstairs for a garbage can. Part of the dresser and TV stand was broken and sticking out, though luckily I didn't cut myself on it. The sink leaked enough that I had to wrap a towel around it to keep water off the floor. When I asked for a corporate number, they refused, and wouldn't give me the general manager's contact information either. I'm never staying there again. I've had a better time in a tent in the woods during a storm.

The indoor pool was the only part of this hotel we liked. The manager seemed nice and concerned about how we were doing, but the people responsible for cleaning and maintaining the rooms need to do a much better job. It was cheap, yet still not worth what I paid, and we wouldn't have stayed another night even for free, despite the manager offering one. My sister and I arrived over Thanksgiving break. The pretty lobby made us think the stay would be nice, but the shaky elevator and strong pot smell in it and the hallways were an early warning. In our first room the toilet was clogged, so we asked to move. The next room had someone else's clothes in the closet, missing drawer knobs, poop stains on a chair, a TV and alarm clock that didn't work, and no ironing board with the iron. A cockroach came out of the sink, and the toilet clogged again even though my sister had only peed. We switched rooms again. That one was mostly okay, except it had no phone. In the morning, the maid kept coming to the door. My sister told the workers we didn't have a phone. At the next knock, one of them handed her a phone and told her to plug it into the wall. Really?

The rooms were clean and the price was affordable, though the TVs are outdated. What made both of my stays especially nice was the staff, including the day manager. They made me feel welcome and at home. And with the weather outside, having an indoor heated pool was a real plus.
