That rattling window screen kept me awake most of the first night. The northern winter wind shook it with every gust, and even ear plugs, a hand band over my ears, a fan, and white noise couldn’t cover the noise. I asked them to secure the loose screen, even with a temporary fix like duct tape in one loose corner, but they said they couldn’t remove it. I hadn’t asked them to remove it. The wind died down the second night, so I finally slept. My mom and I otherwise had a great stay. The staff were all great and accommodating, and breakfast was fantastic each morning. Despite the screen, I’d highly recommend the hotel to travelers.

The rooms are clean, and the staff are friendly and courteous. If you have to stay in Norton, KS, this is the place to sleep. It’s right by the intersection of US 283 and US 36, with a Casey's next door and Norton County Hospital across the street. Handy if you have a heart attack and need a diagnosis before a life flight to Kearney, NE! Leave your pocket knife in the car if you have a heart attack. You can’t take it on the helicopter, and you probably won’t get it back.

A wonderful breakfast buffet is included, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms were spacious, immaculate, and very well appointed. You really couldn’t find a better place to stay anywhere in town.
