Econo Lodge Norwalk

The property was overgrown and there was trash everywhere. Our room was filthy too, with dirt and questionable debris in the drawers, empty tissue boxes in the bathroom, and dirt and rubbish scattered around. We had no blankets, only a sheet, and the pillows were so cheap they barely seemed like pillows. The bathroom light didn't work. We had to ask for the room to be cleaned after checking in.

The room was nowhere near the pictures and was disgusting: spills on the floor, holes in the blankets, dirt beneath the beds and mattress, and hair on the mattress. We said we were cancelling and leaving, and they still made us pay for the first night. After we paid and walked out, they charged the other card on file for all three nights for both rooms. We went back, and the man swore at us. Another hotel told us they'd heard complaints about this place too. Don't stay here.

The room was filthy, and I left after just one night, driving home the next day. I booked online for two days, then they added another $40 at check-in in case someone smoked in the room. When I got to the room, I saw cigarette burns on the blankets and took pictures. I reported them at the desk, and the man said he'd make sure I wasn't charged.

We found moldy food in the refrigerator, the room smelled so bad we had to buy air freshener, and the shower was too disgusting to use. Just walking around briefly left my socks black from the dirt. They also kept our deposit even though we followed the rules and left the room in better condition than we found it. When you call to talk about it, they just hang up.
