The man at the front desk was nice, which helped make the evening better, but I didn't tell him about what happened. The shower barely ran, so I washed up as best I could in the sink because I needed to be presentable the next day. I stepped into the shower anyway to rinse my lower body, slipped on the first step, and had to shift my weight to catch myself. It was shockingly slippery and could have been dangerous. Later, I hit my shin on the bed frame while walking over to switch on the light. The frame blended into the floor, stuck out where I didn't see it, and left me with a pretty good bruise. The room was dim and poorly lit in the evening, which made it uncomfortable. It seems some rooms have a working shower but no heater, while others have problems with the shower or some outlets and a working heater. I expected something different from the experience I had. I've stayed in hotels overseas, and this probably takes the cake. I can't recommend it, so read reviews before booking. I also felt there were spirits on the property, though the ghosts seemed generally friendly and good.

The place is pretty quiet and in a nice area, and the grass by the pool has a peaceful view. The room and bed were super clean, though it smelled of cigarettes and the A/C didn't work very well.

A handy little place for a work trip, with plenty of parking and easy access right off the 101. The location is great. The breakfast was the main letdown: just a few bagels or toast, with no hot options like eggs or sausage. Laundry is out of service right now too, which is inconvenient.

There was drinking water, coffee and toiletries in the clean, modern room, and breakfast was included. But it was freezing. The heater was so noisy and didn't warm the room, so we woke every hour because of the noise and got up early. We'd been traveling and hoped to sleep well, but we spent the night cold and got no rest. The blanket was too thin for winter; guests should have thicker ones.

The garden seems like an add-on to what is basically a motel, and although I booked a garden view room, I didn't get one. The free breakfast was in a gloomy room and consisted only of a few bagels, toast and coffee. No cereal or oatmeal, yogurt, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes or waffles. It's depressing and sickening to see what inflation is doing. At $227 for the night, they could do more to treat guests well. Don't book unless you're desperate for a shower and a bed.
