O'Fallon Suites Hotel

The room was clean and surprisingly spacious for what we paid, so it felt well worth the price. The location was exactly where we needed to be, and the staff were friendly and quick to help with any questions or issues. We had freezing temperatures during our February visit, so the really warm pool was a lovely bonus. We’d definitely stay again.

There were three registered guests, but staff acted as though two bath towels should be enough for all of us. Pool towels weren’t available. When I asked for three, he acted like he’d have to go to India to get them. The property also smelled strongly of marijuana, breakfast was disappointing, and customer service was poor. The room had broken or damaged furniture, and management didn’t seem interested in sorting out our concerns. I wouldn’t recommend it, even with a pool. I’d rather stay somewhere better quality without that amenity.

We left and got a refund because the room felt dirty and still had things from the previous guest in it. The property didn’t feel safe, clean, or well maintained, even though the location is convenient and close to many things. The room wasn’t in great shape, and at check-in the front desk clerk was on her phone, which seemed unprofessional. I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but this place needs work.

We cut our trip short because the room was unsanitary. When I checked a drawer while packing to make sure the kids hadn’t left anything, I found a nebulizer with a used face mask still attached. That made me think the room hadn’t been touched between guests. The shade curtains were filthy and covered in mildew or mold. There were only two towels for five of us. We couldn’t reach anyone at the front desk by phone, and whenever we went down, no one was there to ask. The shower had mold and hair everywhere. We were exhausted, so I cleaned it with my own hand sanitizer and baby wipes and took the risk of staying the night. The next morning we tried to swim. I finally found a front desk worker FaceTiming someone, and she gave me a hard time about getting more towels. The pool was freezing, with two towels floating at the bottom. Cleaning chemicals had been left unattended on a pool chair. My almost 3 year old tried to grab one of the bottles, but my husband got to him in time. I was thoroughly disgusted.
