Our minivan broke down on the way from Sioux Falls to Rapid City, with our three-year-old grandson along, during the first really bad weather of the season: 10 degrees and winds over 60 mph. Despite several staff calling out because of the weather, they had two first-floor rooms available for us at 1:30 pm. The front desk woman was very nice and helpful. The king bed was comfortable, and so were the pillows, which is a bonus for a very picky sleeper like me. Breakfast was standard, with biscuits and gravy, waffles including red velvet, breads, and cereals. We enjoyed it all and will definitely stay again.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The hot water was great once it finally came through. Breakfast had toast, sausage gravy, coffee, and juices. It's a bit outdated, but suited our needs well.

We usually stay here when passing through SD and have generally been pleased, but this time was a letdown. The room smelled unpleasant when we walked in, the carpet had obvious stains, and it could have been cleaner. The bed was uncomfortable and was a double, though it should have been a queen. The bathroom fan was loud and didn't work. Breakfast was standard hotel fare, but the coffee could be better, it wasn't hot and tasted instant. We'll look for somewhere else next time.

After a weeklong road trip through Jamestown ND, Red Lodge MT, and Cody WY, this was the best hotel we stayed in all week. The room was very clean, the bed comfy, and breakfast was good too.

The motel is very dated and could use a major update. The tub mat looked very dirty, though the room itself was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. One thing people should know is there is no elevator, which makes hauling heavy suitcases up and down the stairs very hard for elderly guests.
