Check-in was easy when we booked our one-night stay directly through AmericInn. The night, though, was rough. At 1:45 a.m. the smoke and carbon monoxide detector started beeping and woke our baby. The front desk employee brought batteries, but first said she’d disconnect it, which worried us because of the carbon monoxide risk. She changed the batteries after we asked, but it started beeping again less than five minutes later. We moved rooms at 2:00 a.m. with our baby still crying, and barely slept. We told the manager in the morning. She apologized and offered a late checkout, which we turned down. She then said there was nothing more she could do because we’d booked the lowest rate, even though we booked directly with AmericInn. In the end she offered a 15% rate adjustment. That felt disappointing after the disruption and safety concerns.

The breakfast was outstanding, and the pool and hot tub were really nice. Staff were great, and the hotel was clean even with carpet being replaced in several rooms.

They said cats were okay when we first checked in, even though they don't accept cats as service animals. Now they're telling us to move out. I have documentation, and they're still unwilling to accommodate service animals with papers.

The hot tub worked great and was fabulous. Staff were exceptional, and the attention to detail and cleanliness were the best I’ve had at an AmericInn.
