Doubletree Oak Ridge

The staff make us feel like family every time we pass through Oak Ridge, TN. Jeff, Amber, Shania, Sherrie, Janie, the sweetest waitress ever, and Heather D all helped make our visits special. We love the warm welcome, spotless rooms, excellent restaurant, heated pool, breakfast buffet, and dinner specials. This is one of the best Hilton properties we've stayed at. Thanks for doing such a great job and keeping those positive attitudes!

I really liked the room's unusual layout, and the bedding was especially comfortable. The personalized welcome, with our names on the TV and gluten-free cookies waiting for us, was a lovely touch. Everything felt clean and tidy, and I was happy lounging in the room for hours while my partner went to an event. You could hear people by the door, as you can in most hotels, but it didn't bother me. Our stay was quiet and I have no complaints. It would have been a full five stars if the rooms felt a little more modern.

Janie was the bright spot in an otherwise miserable stay. She listened, apologized, and covered our coffee, fruit, and toast, even though she couldn't issue a refund or future discount. I'll remember her kindness, but I wouldn't choose this hotel again. The room was beautiful but unbearably damp, as if the AC was pushing condensation back inside. My passport curled up and my hair got frizzy, and sleeping in a damp bed was awful. The room also wasn't as clean as I expected. Management showed no concern or offer to make things right when we reported the moisture the next morning. We didn't even receive cookies and water at check-in. I had booked directly, not through Priceline.

Carmon at the front desk always goes above and beyond. She's cheerful and ready to help with anything we ask, and over the years we've become friends with several staff members. We come to DoubleTree Oak Ridge each Christmas to see and celebrate with our Knoxville family. It feels like a home away from home, and we're already looking forward to seeing our hotel friends again next year. We're excited to see the renovations, too. Highly recommend!
