Best Western Regency Plaza Hotel - St. Paul East

The room had plenty of space, and the king bed was firm in a way we like, so we rested well. The property seemed clean and cared for, I felt safe there and in the surrounding area, and traffic noise was barely noticeable. It was nice to be able to open the window for fresh air. The front desk staff were kind when I asked for extra linens. Breakfast wasn't worth going downstairs for. There was a note saying the coffee was brewed strong and to add hot water, which was helpful, but after adding water it barely tasted like coffee. The eggs were badly overcooked and painfully dry, which was especially disappointing since eggs are one of my favorite hotel breakfast options. The elevator was loud and seemed sketchy, with no visible inspection stickers. I prefer the stairs and wouldn't ride it without my phone because I worry about getting trapped. The window also has no screen or safety feature to protect children or people who may be mentally unstable.

Asim made the whole experience easy and stress-free. He listened, explained everything clearly, and made sure things were handled properly and efficiently. He was patient, professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to details, with a positive attitude that really stood out. It's rare to get this level of service these days. Asim clearly cares about customers and takes pride in his work. Management should recognize him, reward him, and consider him for more responsibility or advancement. He's a real asset and represents the company well. Thanks for a great experience.

Good hotels come down to the people, and everyone here was friendly, from the maids to management. Thanks to Asim for taking the time to answer my questions. Whenever I travel to St. Paul, I'll stay here.

The staff at the front desk were welcoming, and when our first room smelled awful, they switched us without any hassle. Breakfast was okay, and the pumpkin waffles were something different. There was no pool, just a hot tub, which I found odd. The location was a little out of the way for the vikings stadium. Our TV kept cutting out. The front desk woman came by and got it working for a while, but it stopped again. The elevator needs major repairs, the beds were low and uncomfortable, and the sheets smelled strongly of bleach.
