I was there for two nights, mostly because it was close to my workplace. The staff were friendly, but often weren't available at the desk, so you had to ring and wait for help. The room felt dated, with low water pressure and some cleanliness issues. I also didn't feel very safe. A sheriff responded to a fight, and other guests were loud late at night.

Drew, the Manager, is a wonderful person to work with. This is a lovely gated motel with free parking and a Mid Century Modern design. Come stay and enjoy Oakland and Berkley!

We only found out after booking that parking wouldn't be available on the property when we arrived on a Saturday evening. We were told we'd have to look for street parking. The free parking is not guaranteed, so don't be fooled by this place.

We chose a room with plenty of sunlight, and the A/C worked really well. The water pressure and temperature were perfect. They accommodated our late-night check-in and helped us with a late checkout, too. Both the front desk and housekeeping were friendly. Parking was good, and there were nice places to eat nearby, including a 7/11 for other needs. 10 out of 10, recommend!

There's a gate, which made it feel very safe, and the hotel was clean. Good food options are on the same block, and the Masjid is four minutes away. Great place to stay. I'd definitely come back, in sha Allah.
