Candlewood Suites Oakwood by IHG

We were in and out too quickly to make use of the room's full mini kitchen, but it was stocked with containers, a strainer, and other things for preparing food. The room wasn't especially spacious, though there was enough room to manage. Staff were friendly, helped with our requests, and shared local tips. Good value, and we'd stay again.

We needed a room while renovations were underway at our son's house, and the painters arrived early. We came by hoping an early check-in might be possible. Omar and Cameron greeted us warmly with smiles, then happily let us check in ahead of time. Really good customer service, which can be hard to find. Thanks to both of them for making it a lovely stay.

The people at the desk were wonderful, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself was beautiful and brand new, having opened just six days earlier. But the water tasted moldy when I brushed my teeth, and I didn't want to give it to my dog. We had booked an ADA compliant room with a walk-in shower, though the toilet was too low for my octogenarian mom. The address is on Mundy Mill Drive, but the entrance isn't on that road, so it was hard to find on a dark January night. The parking lot was also dark by the accessible parking, which made it hard for my mom to get out of the car confidently.

Candlewood Suites was a comfortable, clean stay for a reasonable price given the quality. I appreciated how dog friendly it was, which made traveling with my pet stress free. Great value, and I'd happily stay here again.
