It's right off 36, which made getting there convenient, and the service was fantastic. When I opened our room door, it smelled freshly and thoroughly cleaned. The rooms are nicely arranged and very clean, with the kind of attention to detail you can tell someone puts into cleaning. There aren't many places to eat in this little town, but this place is worth staying at. The photo I posted was after my kids tested out the beds. 😆

It did the job for the cheapest night we could find, and for a place in the middle of nowhere at that price, it was about what I expected. Some reviews make it sound insanely good, which I think is exaggerated. It was just fine, but don't expect to be impressed.

Everything was spotlessly clean, and the old motel has been updated well, with a microwave and mini-fridge in the room. My only real complaint was that the A/C in room 26 got noisy sometimes. Hot water took exactly one minute to reach my room at the far end of the building, then there was plenty of it. The office is at the west, or right, end of the building, so don't be put off by the closed restaurant in the front. There's no breakfast, and restaurants around town are scarce, especially Mondays, so plan meals ahead.

Check-in was easy and the customer service was awesome. The rooms were mostly renovated and, more importantly, very clean. The A/C wasn't running before we arrived, so it felt a bit humid at first, but the room cooled down quickly. A great place to stay while crossing Kansas.

The rooms are older but work fine, and the owner was exceptional. I'd give it 10/10 and stay again when passing through Oberlin.
