Comfort Suites Ocala North

Destinee, the assistant manager, went out of her way to help us and was so friendly. We’re really grateful. The hotel is easy to reach just off the highway, and we had a great time and slept well. My one suggestion is to make breakfast a little better.

Molly helped me get breakfast despite my limited mobility, and the staff were efficient. Our room was spacious, and they let me check in a few minutes before 3 p.m. We had convenient wireless and lots of TV channels, and I liked how easy it was to get to I-75. The conditioner worked well, though the shampoo was missing. Sometimes the door was hard to open. The hot tub was closed, but there was an outdoor pool.

There were cockroaches scurrying across the floor as soon as we opened the door. Thankfully, none got into our belongings. The front desk woman was nice, and check-in and checkout were easy, though there's a room deposit that the booking site doesn't mention. The room was cheap, and we didn't have much choice: we were on vacation, had totaled the car, and needed a place to wait for someone to pick us up.

I've stayed at Comfort Suite North for about four years and usually think it's a good place, but this visit made it hard to give a positive review. We found two little roaches, and one even got inside the fridge. They ran out of soap, and there seem to be too few employees to clean the rooms. Breakfast used to be really good, but over at least my last three stays the food quality has gone downhill. The best part is the woman who works so hard to make sure everyone gets fed and is happy.
