Ashore Resort & Beach Club

The staff were kind and accommodating, but the hotel itself was disappointing. The rooms were extremely dirty, with hair and stains on the towels, sheets, and shower curtain. There was barely any light in the rooms, and the bathroom was the only place with a mirror. Even the beach umbrellas weren't sorted out; the slightest breeze sent them flying. Avoid it if you can.

The ocean view was beautiful. Waking up and going to bed with the ocean feeling so close made this an outstanding stay, and I’ll definitely come back. Even with construction going on, I thought the hotel was great. Construction is a pain, but once it's finished, it should be awesome. Big thanks to the front desk staff, who were superb professionals, and to Gary, who helped stop a room problem from turning into a nightmare. The Tide room staff also helped make my birthday a great day.

I visited in the off-season when the hotel had few guests, while renovations were underway. We were there for a convention that had been moved down the street. I liked the sound of the waves, and my room had recently been upgraded. It was a good size, and the beds were fine with feather pillows. My main issue was the shower. It's a tight space with a rain head and weak pressure, and water runs out toward the toilet. More concerning, the floor is extremely slippery when getting in and out.

The location on the strip is great, but the rooms aren't very updated. At the restaurant, one person in our party was served spoiled steak with an obvious odor that should never have been put on a plate. The conference room charges for pretty much every item, and the large room is on a floor with no bathrooms, which is inconvenient for people with bladder or mobility issues. I wouldn't recommend holding a gathering here. The administrative staff were less accommodating once the contract was signed than they had been while trying to win our business.
