Best Western Ocean City Hotel & Suites

The front desk staff were all friendly, and the service was great. I accidentally booked the wrong days when I checked in, since I’d booked for next year. Amber greeted me with a smile, sorted it out, and rebooked me while explaining what I needed to do. Later, I called down with a question and another young woman, I believe her name was Stacy, answered with the same energy. Amber weber also suggested some places to eat. I’ll be back, maybe around Thanksgiving. I’m not cooking again! 😆🤣😂 ❤️❤️❤️

There was sharp metal sticking up from the floor, so I called the city about the unsafe room conditions. They wouldn’t do anything except offer to move me to a lesser room or another substandard suite. The beds were hard as a rock, and the couch had a lot of stains. The GM was pleasant enough but didn’t help, and corporate was no help either, seeming to leave the hotel to do what it wanted. We ended up leaving, losing the money for the second night, and going to a better hotel. I guess it was my fault for booking at a Best Western and expecting something better. People really do have the lowest standards. I usually stay with Hilton and Marriott, since they have to answer to their corporate offices.

The location by the beach was a plus, and there was plenty of room to move around, even with a wheelchair. But the first bed was wet when I got in for the night, and the mattress was uncomfortable when flipped, so staff found me another room. That tub had a drainage issue too. Shampoo, conditioner, and soap pooled around my legs while I showered.

After a rough experience at another hotel, we checked out early and came here. The friendly welcome, clean and very spacious room, and good complimentary breakfast were exactly what we needed. The beach is just a block away. Thanks for rescuing the rest of our little vacation!
