Cambria Hotel Ocean City - Bayfront

That bed is easily the most comfortable one I’ve ever slept in. My side-view room has a king bed, an interesting layout, everything I need, and a pretty cool Bluetooth mirror. The hotel is clean, the linens and towels feel good quality, and the pool and hot tub are both large and nice. It’s February, my room faces away from the bridge, and it’s been extremely quiet. I like the sand-footprint pattern on the hallway carpet and the playful lobby decor. The weather’s been foggy, so I wish I’d paid a little more for a direct bayfront room, but the weather hasn’t been cooperating anyway. I’m writing this over a delicious craft cocktail at Spain wine bar on the top floor. It’s a classy spot, and I’d love to stay here again.

Patrice made us feel welcome from arrival onward. Check-in went smoothly, and after that she kept making sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. We had a wonderful stay at The Cambridge on Stouts Ave, thanks in large part to her attentive, genuinely warm hospitality. If you stay here, you’ll be in good hands with Patrice. We’ll definitely return.

The room itself is very nice, though it could use plates, knives, forks, and cups for the price, like other hotels provide. My big frustration was the view. I asked customer service four or five times before booking whether the room faced directly onto the bay, and checked once more at the end. They assured me it did, but when I arrived, I had a side view of the parking lot. The hotel was booked, so I couldn’t change rooms and was really disappointed. As a follow-up, customer service and the nice woman at the desk switched me to a bayfront room the next day.

The security hold is my one real complaint. They tied up $250, more than twice the room cost, until the bank releases it. That’s ridiculous. The room was clean, with a great bay view, and the hotel has a huge whirlpool, a pool, and a gym that’s very well equipped for a hotel.
