English Towers 506 2 Br condo by RedAwning

We had a great time on our quick three-day getaway and would come back. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a great ocean view. The building and pool were clean, and the pool hours were good, from 8am to 10pm. The staff we met were friendly. Just note that WiFi is sold as a package, and the parking fee has to be paid in cash.

We’ve been renting several condos here each summer for many years, after also trying lots of other oceanfront complexes in North OC over the past three decades. English Towers is our favorite. The location works well for families and is away from the boardwalk crowds, with a grocery store right across the street. The beach is close, and the path is easy for both older and younger family members. The staff are courteous, the place is clean, and the balconies are large. Some reviews criticize individual condos that need work, but I don’t think that’s fair to the complex. Check the photos and descriptions carefully. The cheaper units are probably the ones that need updating, as is often the case in high rises.

We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. Every staff member we dealt with was polite and helpful, and we followed the rules they set to protect everyone, including themselves. The facility was great. We didn’t come for the pool, though. We were there for sun, sand, and water, and our nine-year-old grandson understood why the pool was closed without whining or complaining. We were just happy to get away, and honestly felt safer in Ocean City than in our own PA hometown. Keep up the great work!

Room 704 had a huge oceanfront balcony, and we spent so much of our time out there. This was our first year at English Towers, but we’re already hoping to come back for years. The private beach access kept that stretch of sand less crowded, and the staff and other guests were friendly, even with so many people arriving at once because check-in is strictly at 3. The indoor pool was nice, though pretty warm in early August. Parking worked well for us, including my husband’s F150, which can be hard to maneuver and park in some lots. One spot came with the rental, and we paid a small fee for a second spot for the week. Keyed entry after 10 pm also made us feel secure.
