After riding 175 miles on my motorcycle from Pennsylvania on Christmas Eve eve, it was great to arrive somewhere warm, clean, and quaint. There’s a nice indoor pool, warm and comfortable, even if it isn’t Olympic size. I parked the bike and caught the O.C. bus right outside to 83rd Street for oysters, steak, and Makers Mark at Ropewalk for my birthday on Christmas Eve. Everything was well organized and helpful, and I got my $100.00 security deposit back within an hour of checkout. Fabulously Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!!

We were only in the room now and then, so it worked fine for a few days. There was a small breakfast setup and the beach was close by. Our room was okay, though I noticed a few odd little stains on the pillows and sheets. We booked here because our usual place was full.

The location is decent, and that’s about it. The pool was out of order the whole week. Breakfast wasn’t really what the photos showed, if you can even call it breakfast, and the rooms are really small. Pretty disappointing.

Jayden and the staff were polite and accommodating, taking care of what I needed from booking through checkout. Both places were beautiful and clean, and made for an easy beach getaway. Beach Bum Inn on 3rd is maybe 50 steps from the beach and boardwalk, so it’s a fun spot for a couple nights with things to do during the day and evening. Beach Bum Inn West is a charming little cabin escape right on the water, less than 2 miles from the beach. I’d give these places 10 stars if I could.

The beach is just a short one-minute walk away, and the staff were fairly nice and helpful. But the room has a tiny bathroom, with a sink no bigger than my face, and there was a moldy smell. WiFi crawled most of the time, so I’d rather use my phone data. The TV is tiny and ancient, with a poor, sad selection of channels. I’d only suggest staying here if you’re on a really tight budget.
