Hilton Naples

The bed was comfortable, and the shower itself was pretty nice if you could get past the soaked curtain. Shula’s Steak House was the only real redeeming point for me. The room door didn’t shut firmly, so changes in air pressure made it shake and sound like someone was trying to break in. I could hear the hallway easily, too. Towels were stiff and crusty, the toilet paper was cheap, the light flickered, and the coffee options were sparse. The machine filled the provided cup to the brim, so I couldn’t get it out without spilling, let alone leave room for milk. I was here on a work trip with two friends, and our rooms had different temperature problems: one stayed freezing and wouldn’t warm up, while another wouldn’t cool down or stay cool. There’s no complimentary breakfast either. I probably wouldn’t stay again.

I’m a Hilton Diamond member, and this was easily the worst Hilton I’ve stayed in. We only spent one night because of a meeting the next morning, but the property badly needs renovation. The rooms and hallways felt like a cheap, outdated motel, and our room was filthy. The curtains had brown stains that weren’t rust, the carpet was dirty, and the old mattress was deeply dented and uncomfortable. We stopped for a drink at Shula’s bar, where the stools were literally falling apart. I can’t understand the excellent reviews and would never recommend this hotel.

The pool and hot tub were heated and very well cared for, and the on-site restaurant served a delicious breakfast with lots of menu choices. Staff were amazing and went above and beyond. There are also plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Hilton Naples is a spotless place to stay in the area, and I’d definitely recommend it.

The lobby looks nice, but that’s about all I liked. The room needs serious renovation: the TV screen had a black line down it, the toilet handle was loose, and the shower curtain was the plastic hookless kind. I asked about the website’s complimentary breakfast for members and was told there wasn’t one. I showed the page, and the only response was that the manager would be told. There wasn’t even complimentary coffee in the lobby. They advertise valet parking, but there was no attendant, and although they offer bell service, there was no bell person. When I asked for a cart, they said only bell service was available. I wasn’t going to wait for someone to bring it. I’ll never stay here again. There are plenty of other hotels on this road with more to offer.
