Hampton Inn & Suites Ocean City/Bayfront-Convention Center

We come here each year and definitely enjoy it. It worked conveniently for our purpose, since we could walk to the convention center for our annual Winterfest Revival. They were flexible with our group, and the staff were kind and resourceful. Our rooms were clean and prepared well, with beautiful scenery behind the hotel. May GOD continue to bless this establishment and its staff.

The bayfront balcony is beautiful and peaceful, and the room itself is roomy, clean, and well appointed. Housekeeping has been attentive. The hotel sits at the edge of the marsh, so there’s nothing behind it, but a bright light on every balcony stays on with no way to switch it off. The blackout curtains do work. I’m on the top floor facing west, and despite being near the main road, I haven’t noticed traffic noise. Noise from inside has been minimal, and the hotel is very quiet. I arrived to find I’d been upgraded to a bay view room after an online reservation problem that neither the hotel nor customer service could fix. I appreciated that kind of service. Parking has been easy, with a well-kept, well-lit lot and spots near the entrance. I also like that the entry doors lock after 11 PM and require a room key, since many area hotels are open to anyone at all hours. The hotel is beautifully decorated for the holidays, and I love the real Christmas tree in the lobby overlooking the bay. Breakfast has been plentiful and good. The indoor pool and hot tub are warm and clean, with powerful jets. The ice machine is in a separate room behind a door, so it doesn’t disturb nearby rooms. One issue on my first night was a heater that left me waking up to a room at 52 degrees. Maintenance came right away and fixed it. I like this place enough that I switched an upcoming reservation here from another hotel. Next time I’ll try the city, or east, view to save a little money.

We spent two nights here with the family for New Year’s and had a great stay. The bay view was a nice bonus, and our room was very clean. The kids had fun in the pool, breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were warm and welcoming. I’d recommend the hotel and would come back.

The place was simple and clean, but the service really stood out. I mentioned to a housekeeper in the hall that my tub wasn’t draining properly, and maintenance arrived in under three minutes and fixed it. Later I found something burnt onto the iron, and they brought me a replacement in less than five minutes. Warren at the front desk was the best. He was funny and helpful, made things easy for me and my friends, and even remembered me from a phone call before I arrived. We were there with a whole bunch of little girls for a cheer competition, and he was very accommodating. Keep that man! Top-notch customer service.
