Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Ocean City by IHG

There’s a Chipotle right across the street, which is handy for lunch or a late dinner. The indoor and outdoor pools looked well maintained. Breakfast was just okay: some items were pretty bad, but the cinnamon rolls were amazing. The rest was edible, just not great. The rooms were clean and looked practically new, with spotless bathrooms. The building is older, but they’ve done a great job updating it. There was a bit of musty old-hotel smell, though it wasn’t too strong. My main annoyance was asking for an extra blanket and being told they were out, then watching someone else get one a few minutes later. Still, it’s a nice place for a quick holiday trip, with clean rooms, decent breakfast, and a great location.

The hotel is quiet, which is just what I need right now. My room is spacious and the bed is comfortable, with a fridge and microwave. There are some restaurants nearby that I’ll check out later. I’ve visited Ocean City before, but this was my first stay at this property. I wanted to see what other hotels had to offer. The woman at the front desk let me check in early, which I really appreciated. I’d driven for hours to attend a conference, and otherwise I would’ve had to wait three hours. Getting in early gave me time to rest and freshen up.

We had a cousins’ weekend in September and the service was wonderful. Marie, Jamie, and Claudia deserve a special thanks, you guys are super! The front desk team was friendly and helped with all our questions. The rooms were beautiful and clean. I’d highly recommend staying here.

I booked online, got confirmation from Holiday Inn Express, and called the hotel to confirm the amenities. When we arrived, they said there wouldn’t be a room with a view until after 10am the next day. The following morning, they told us there was no view after all. The staff were beyond ignorant. I’ll never stay at another Holiday Inn Express.
