Marriott Maui

The lobby looks beautiful, but the rooms don’t live up to the fancy image the place advertises. Our floors were dirty, there was mold and leaking, and we saw a mouse. They offered us another room, but it was even dirtier, with disgusting, worn-looking furniture. All they offered was a cover for it. If guests are expected to need a cover for the couch, shouldn’t it already be there when they arrive? I’m not blaming the staff, especially the cleaners, who probably get paid the least. I wouldn’t come back to a place that presents itself as fancy when the rooms are nowhere near that.

Erica and Brigette at the front desk were wonderful, kind, and accommodating. They deserve to work somewhere worthy of their skills. The rest of the hotel is very mediocre. The rooms are old and run down, the sofa was dirty and full of holes, and the place needed repainting and a proper deep clean. The bedroom carpet looked dirty and should be replaced with tile or vinyl plank so it can be cleaned properly. The refrigerator leaked.

Beautiful views and a lovely location, but the place is pretty dated. There was mold on the ceiling and lampshade, and it could’ve been cleaner. The water was warm but never hot. Our jacuzzi tub had no stopper, so we could only use the shower. I’d stay again, but I’d bring cleaning supplies.

Jessica really came through when I urgently needed somewhere to stay after Coastal Palms hotel put my family and me in a terrible situation. She was phenomenal, and Coconut Malorie took care of us when we needed help. The room was clean, the bed was nice, and the air conditioning was great. The bay view is beautiful, and the bathrooms are AMAZING. The hotel is older, but Jessica’s hospitality and those views made it worthwhile. We’ll definitely make this our regular place.
