Ocean High Condominiums

The living room and kitchen were tolerable, but there’s no bathroom on that floor, so you have to climb a flight of stairs either up or down. The units feel ancient, with filthy carpet and cracked ceramic tile. I think the comforters in the downstairs bathroom must be at least 40 years old. Absolutely terrible resort.

The rooms were clean and pleasant, and the ocean is close by. It’s a quiet area, too. We really liked having a private hot tub as a bonus. They’re remodeling now, so I’m looking forward to coming back!

We spent Labor Day in a clean, well-kept condo with a beautiful view. The location was convenient, with plenty to walk to and do nearby, and Holly Rogers Park right behind it has lots of family activities. It was also a great spot for fishing or just sitting outside and relaxing.

The best part was the beautiful, quiet bayside area, though parking was tight. Unit 25 itself was a mess. It smelled like body odor, especially when the AC was running, and the smell eased when I turned it off and opened the windows. The stained carpet on the stairs needs a serious cleaning or replacement, and the basement felt dingy, outdated, and creepy. I wouldn’t put my one-year-old in the basement bedroom, so we all got little sleep. The late check-in time is also frustrating, especially with checkout at 6 p.m.; I think check-in should be at least 2 p.m., not 11 a.m. The dining room floor shook, and I could feel it out on the deck too, apparently from the AC unit. The front door looked like it had been pried open before, and it took a lot of force to open and close. I paid a lot for a dirty, smelly place and checked out early because I couldn’t stand the odor anymore.
