Oceanic Motel

The staff were top tier, really nice and accommodating, and the location is amazing. The room was a bit retro, which didn't bother me, but on the first night I found a big brown stain in the middle of the sheets. The office manager apologized repeatedly and immediately brought fresh linen. The bathroom water wouldn't drain, and the room keys didn't work very well. We met some very cool folks, and the pool was refreshing and relaxing. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

The location is good, but I wouldn't stay here again without spending more for somewhere comfortable. The rooms are small, dated, not clean, and literally falling apart. Only a few outlets in our room worked, and even those were so loose they wouldn't hold a plug. There were cheap blinds instead of curtains, so they didn't block the light. There were flies everywhere, though at least the room came with a fly swatter. The private Bay Area used to be nice, but it's very trashy now.

Room 8 was the most disgusting hotel room I've ever stayed in. I always bring cleaner and bedding, luckily, because the rooms are about the size of prison cells and dated inside and out. The toilet is coming completely off the floor. Most of the staff were friendly, and the location is amazing, but I think the staff could work harder to make the place more comfortable. I wouldn't recommend staying here and will never come back.

Angie, the older manager who came out to speak with me, brushed off everything I said. I had paid for a suite with two beds and an ocean view, but was told on arrival that the room had been given to someone else and I could go elsewhere. The room I received was nothing like what I booked, and the staff were rude and indifferent. It felt like false advertising, and I have stayed in Ocean City many times without encountering a place like this. The carpet was so filthy that walking on it barefoot left black marks on our feet. My five-year-old was scared to step on it without socks, and my one-year-old couldn't crawl or walk around for three days. There was mold on the walls, cockroaches crawling on the bed that I had to kill, and stains throughout the room, including on the sheets. The place was outdated and absolutely disgusting. I would never return. Don't waste your money.
