Port-O-Call Hotel

The staff across the property are professional, welcoming, and accommodating, and the restaurant is a real highlight. Breakfast and lunch have plenty of choices, and we’ve never had a bad meal. We look forward to our annual October week here. Being right on the beach is wonderful, and the retro-style rooms are clean and quiet. I recommend an oceanside suite with a balcony for the view, especially to watch the sun rise over the pier.

We loved being on the quiet part of the boardwalk, just a few blocks from shops and food. The whole hotel was spotless, including the quick, clean elevators, and the staff were friendly and professional. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well appointed, and we both slept really well. On our first trip to OCNJ, Port-O-Call passed my hospitality-industry test in every way, as my wife says. It was our first stay, but definitely not our last.

Free parking was a plus. The hotel is very clean, with rooms that have balconies and chairs, right on the beach and boardwalk.

I’d recommend Port-O-Call in or out of season. We stayed three nights over the holidays, and the decorations were lovely. The town was calm and peaceful, which made the hotel a relaxing place to be. The room was comfortable and spotless, with a mini-fridge and a great ocean view. I wasn’t keen on the TV channel selection, but that’s a minor thing, and in season you probably don’t spend much time in the room anyway. Adelene's has a beautiful ocean view and serves breakfast and lunch. The food was delicious, and the restaurant staff were attentive and helpful. Everyone I met, from the front desk and housekeeping to the restaurant and facilities teams, was friendly, professional, kind, and very accommodating. The staff are the hotel’s greatest asset. Check-in and checkout were simple, too.
