The Barefoot Mailman

We expected a hotel when we booked, but this turned out to be a motel. Even so, the rooms were nice and clean, though the floor could’ve used a mop. Staff were super friendly, and there were tons of coupon books around. It’s a two-minute walk to the beach, a few blocks from the boardwalk, and right next to Jolly Roger and Speedworld.

We’ve stayed here a few times and would come back. It’s a friendly, courteous place with a well-kept pool on the small side. The pet smell was expected and wasn’t overwhelming. The location is really convenient for the boardwalk and jolly Roger amusement park, with plenty to walk to nearby. It’s a good pet-friendly option if you mainly need somewhere to sleep and change. Just know there’s no kitchenette and it’s a little dated.

We’ll stay again and definitely recommend it, especially if you’re traveling with a pet. Rooms are spacious enough for four or five people, and some have kitchenettes. There are great Bay views, a nice pool area, and friendly, helpful staff. Bus stops are basically right out front. It’s a few blocks up from the north end of the Boardwalk and close to Jolly Roger Amusements. Thank you!

The best thing about this place is the location, just a minute’s walk to the beach, with a pet area nearby. Barn 34 is also great for breakfast and only two minutes away. We stayed with four adults, a baby, and a pet, and the room worked well. It had two beds, one king and one queen, plus a fully equipped kitchen with pots and pans. There was also a small balcony facing the main street and pool. It was clean but outdated, which was fine since we were mostly sleeping and spending time at the beach. It’s a simple, practical stay, not a big hotel chain experience. The pool is small and faces the parking lot, so the view isn’t much. A good fit if you’re traveling with pets and don’t need luxury.
