The Bayberry Inn

Breakfast was genuinely delicious, and the room had its own bathroom, AC, and a ceiling fan. There’s storage for bikes, a place to pull up in front of the house, and free parking closer to the beach. This quaint B&B is quite an adventure in itself, and beautifully kept for a house that’s 100 years old.

We’ve now stayed at Bayberry Inn twice, and both visits have been wonderful. David and Bonnie are warm, welcoming hosts, and they were glad to arrange our late arrival since we let them know well ahead of time. The rooms and shared spaces have lots of character and are impeccably clean. Breakfast was a real highlight every morning, way beyond what I’d expect at a B&B. Bonnie remembered my wife’s food allergy and offered both decaf and regular coffee. They also gave us beach tags, and it’s an easy five-minute walk to the beach. After checking out, we were glad to use the outdoor shower when we returned from the beach. We also loved meeting Amber, their miniature schnauzer. Bayberry Inn is a gem and a great value, and we’d like to keep coming back as long as the current owners are running it.

There’s a short walk to the restaurants, boardwalk, and beach, and breakfast is filling with plenty of variety. Bonnie and Dave are wonderful hosts who put real care into accommodating guests. The rooms have AC and cable, and their little schnauzer Amber is a lot of fun.

We walked everywhere from this central spot between the beach, boardwalk, and the shops and restaurants on Asbury Ave. I planned a long weekend for my girlfriend’s birthday, and David and Bonnie made us feel welcome from arrival to checkout while respecting our privacy and keeping the rules simple. Breakfast was delicious, and the blueberry French toast I requested became the talk of the morning. The cozy decor and Amber, their adorable little dog, added to the charm. I’ll come back whenever I’m in Ocean City. For a couple thinking of staying a night or longer, this B&B is well worth considering.
