The Burgundy Inn

EDIT: From the response, whoever manages this account seems unaware that there’s an ongoing BBB complaint and lawsuit about my stay. Like I said, what a mess. This place wastes a prime beach location. The office staff were incompetent and, more importantly, unethical. It needs new management.

The room was dirty when we arrived, and the bed sheets were stained. Worse, roaches were crawling on the headboard and among the pillows. It was around midnight when we tried to reach the office, but nobody answered. After a long concert day, we ended up sleeping in a car. We went to the office as soon as it opened the next morning. They offered a replacement room across Philadelphia Avenue, the main road in Ocean City, and said it would be ready in an hour. Three hours passed without a call, so we went there ourselves and found it had already been clean for a while. They’d left us waiting for nothing. They never offered any refund for the first night, when we couldn’t use our room. I’d booked a room with two king beds for three people, and we only realized the floor was covered in dirt after being inside for about 2 minutes. We let that go to attend country calling, but what followed was so frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend staying here at all.

Bill welcomed me and made sure I had what I needed. The room was spotless, and everyone was helpful. It was a great stay from beginning to end. This feels like my new home away from home. Thanks again!

The staff were very welcoming, and it’s an easy walk to the beach and other activities. The rooms are fine, though a little dated, with old window units for AC. Mine had a kitchen with plates and utensils, but the second bed was pretty worn out. Dunkin by the pool each morning was a nice touch. I’d definitely come back to this pretty nice hotel in a great Ocean City location.
