Shangri La has become our yearly stop in Ocean City, and the price is a big part of why. The rooms are clean and have what we need, from toiletries to kitchen tools and appliances. The front desk is always kind and helpful, and there's a nice outdoor pool. It's midway along coastal highway rather than right on the sand, but the walk to the beach is short. For this price range, the mix of comfort, cleanliness, and convenience works really well for us.

The pool was a great change of pace from the beach, and the staff were so warm and friendly. We came for our first family vacation with our baby and six-year-old, and had a wonderful time. The room was clean and roomy, and having a full kitchen helped a lot. With the beach so close and the price being good, it's hard to beat.

Getting to the beach was just a short walk, and the boardwalk was an easy drive or bus ride away. There were plenty of restaurants nearby, too. The rooms felt clean and charming, and I especially liked the pretty bathroom tile. Everyone I talked to was welcoming and helpful. I loved staying here and hope I can come back soon.

We liked the old-school motel feel, and the rooms were clean in a great location. We spent the weekend here for our son's first beach trip, and the staff were especially kind and generous to our family. We'll definitely return.

I visited back in 97. Seeing the photos, it doesn't look like much has been updated, but our family still has such good memories of the place that we talk about it years later. It's also very close to beach bus access.
