Room 11 felt worn and could use some care. The window AC was old and dusty, the bathroom baseboards were dusty too, and ventilation in there was poor. The beds were comfortable and the bedding looked clean. The front desk and main salon were well kept, with a tea bar and beach towels and umbrellas available. The staff who checked us in and out were friendly. The location was ideal, close to the beach, within walking distance of Asbury Park, and on a main street lined with shops and restaurants.

The front porches on both floors look out over a quiet sidewalk and street, and they're beautiful. The beach is just two short blocks away, with good chairs and umbrellas available. Rooms are simple but nice and clean, the staff are friendly, and morning coffee by 7:00 AM is included. Great value at one of the region's best beaches.

After a hectic few days in New York, we wanted somewhere peaceful while exploring the New Jersey coast, and The Quaker was a lovely change of pace. The welcome was warm, the room was spacious and spotless, and the bed was really comfortable. It's well placed for the beach, shops, and getting around the area. We'd happily stay again.

We had a balcony room, which was a nice bonus. Everything was very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There's tea, coffee, and water available, plus a fridge in the room. The hotel is close to both the beach and the quaint town. I'd recommend staying here.
