The Ocean Plaza

Our wedding plans took a last-minute turn when the hotel in Asbury Park cancelled our room, but we were lucky to find one at the Ocean Plaza. We could walk to the hair salon my wife had booked for pre-wedding primping, and the beach was close enough for walks along the boardwalk both on the morning of the wedding and the next day before we left. The bed was comfortable, and they brought us the extra pillows and ironing board we asked for. Breakfast on the second-floor porch, enclosed for winter, had lots of good choices. Somehow, even so late in the season, they had watermelon and cantaloupe, and both tasted great. We definitely recommend The Ocean Plaza and Ocean Grove.

Breakfast had something for everyone and then some. They really had thought of every detail, and we can’t wait to come back. Efy and Bella were wonderful and helpful while managing the place. Our room was cozy and comfortable, clean and well cared for, with everything we could think of. The beds and linens were super comfortable, and the shower was great. We went for one night to catch the last days of summer. It was quiet this time of year, with a quick walk to the beach, OG, or Asbury.

We spent New Year’s Eve and Day at this adorable, homey inn. I loved the Christmas spirit around the place, and breakfast was superb. I’ll be thinking about the French toast for a long time. I just wish we could’ve stayed longer and had warmer weather so I could visit the beach down the street. I’d recommend it for a little getaway, 10/10.

We had a great time ringing in the New Year here. The staff were gracious, the room was well appointed, and breakfast on New Year’s Day was delicious. We especially loved the homemade quiche and peach cobbler, along with everything else. We’ll definitely book The Ocean Plaza Hotel again. Thank you!
