Residence Inn By Marriott Ocean Township

The noise made this stay feel anything but private. I could hear every step from the guests above us, even though they didn’t seem to be doing anything especially loud or disruptive. At one point they started stomping, presumably to signal that we were making too much noise. We were only talking at a normal volume, not whispering. Our words seemed to carry upstairs just as their footsteps came through the ceiling in sound and vibration. It stopped feeling like our room and more like a shared room with the neighbors. Privacy and comfort were basically gone, and it ruined the stay. I didn’t deal with the front desk myself, so I can’t comment on the service, though I’ve been told the staff are friendly. The rooms look nice, and I haven’t found the dirt mentioned in recent reviews, though that’s still to be determined. I rarely post reviews, but this seemed important for others to know. For a Marriott, walls or ceilings this thin are unacceptable. I can’t recommend staying here when ordinary conversation and footsteps can be heard by neighbors. I’d consider another chain, the Residence Inn at Neptune, or the Sheraton. Location and service come second to the room, especially for a long-term stay.

The rooms were great, with full kitchens stocked with everything needed, and there was plenty of parking. The property layout was easy to get around, too. Every employee I passed greeted me and asked if I needed anything, from the front desk to Housekeeping. The staff were phenomenal. It’s a brand new, super clean place in an excellent location, with lots to do nearby. I’ll be back!

We had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back. The rooms are spacious, with a full kitchen that works well for a longer visit, and the property has plenty of parking. It’s also easy to find your way around. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, which made the location even more convenient. Everything felt brand new, clean, and well maintained. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and employees greeted me warmly as I walked around and offered assistance.

The rooms were really nice and big, with a little kitchen. Everyone on staff was super kind and welcoming. After a long day at work, Sharon answered our questions and helped us all get checked in smoothly. The location is great if, for any reason, you can’t stay right by the beach during high season. It’s only about 15 minutes from the beach towns.
