I felt safe traveling solo, and the community atmosphere made the stay feel comfortable. I met people from all over the world, and the people working there were kind and helpful. It’s a lovely space, with beautiful rooms and accommodations. Luxury co-sleeping at its best. They thought of a lot of little comforts: robes and slippers, sound machines, and vending machines with face masks. The bathrooms and showers were pristine, with luxury shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I’ll recommend this place to everyone. Thanks for a perfect stay!

The location worked well for me, close to NYU and a couple of blocks from the subway. Gemma across the street is amazing, and I’d recommend it. The service desk staff were sweet and helpful, and the women cleaning each day always had my room made up when I returned. The bathrooms and showers stayed really clean and looked cute, and I liked the complimentary robes and slippers. I’d probably stay again for the service, location, safety, and comfort. The photos made the ceiling height and room size seem a little misleading. I’m 5’4, so it was fine for me and mostly the perfect size. People mention noise a lot, but I didn’t use the earplugs or sound machine and was okay. Maybe I had respectful neighbors. The main noise I noticed came from the music downstairs and outside, which can’t be helped. They put real effort into making the place cute and welcoming. One small issue: the mirror light should be higher, because a taller person could have it block them while getting ready.

For a fun, affordable, cozy stay, this hostel has what you need. It’s in a great location, and the building and rooms feel safe and secure. I especially liked the thoughtful extras, including the white noise machine, slippers, face mask, earplugs, and robe.

The price and location were hard to beat, and I liked the concept enough to try it again. As someone who travels to NYC often, I don’t need special amenities or frills. I just need somewhere to keep my things and sleep, and this property covers those basics. The cabins are thoughtfully designed, and the execution was pretty good. The sound machine they provide helped with noise coming from other cabins, though it couldn’t cover the sound of slamming doors. Another review said the doors are hard to close, and that’s true. You have to put some effort into them, so they make quite a racket. In the bathroom section where I stayed, there was nowhere to put a toiletry bag while washing up at night. The concrete trough sinks look stylish, but toothpaste and face wash don’t easily drain away when you use them. I rated the service in the middle because it was basically nonexistent, which seems to be part of how a place like this works. It wasn’t bad, just not amazing.

The price was excellent, and it’s within walking distance of everything. We managed 15 miles in two days, with lots of restaurants nearby that stay open late. I felt safe going out, and I was with my husband. There was security outside the doors, and the other guests were friendly and respectful. We stayed the weekend of December 6, 2025. I booked my husband months ahead, then unexpectedly got the weekend off and booked a spot for myself at now now too. I was on the third floor and he was on the fourth. No regrets. The beds were really comfortable, and the rooms and bathrooms were sufficient. Robes, slippers, an eye mask, other extras, and free tampons in the restroom were nice touches. I slept well, though I heard doors opening and closing, which is expected when people need the restroom. The one issue was guests who ignored the rules. Some didn’t use headphones, and one person talked on the phone at 2 AM, which was incredibly rude. Maybe there was a language barrier and they didn’t understand the rules at check-in. I messaged the front desk, but nothing was done. Maybe they could offer earbuds for sale while explaining the rules. Bring earplugs, since some people refuse to follow them. Still, it was a great stay for the price.
