Best Western Plus Brooklyn Bay Hotel

There’s a bodega a block away with great bagels, deli salads, sandwiches, toiletries, and drinks at reasonable prices. A bus stop is right outside the entrance as well. The hotel itself was modern and clean, and the location worked for us, but it cost much more than I expected. Street noise was loud and constant, so if you’re sensitive to that, bring earplugs or noise-canceling headphones for sleeping.

Really relaxing spot, close to some lovely local parks and walking trails. The room had a modern bathroom with a rain shower and strong water pressure. I also slept very comfortably, and liked having a choice of pillows.

We came for a wedding a few blocks away, and the hotel worked out perfectly for a short stay. Breakfast was a highlight, with lots of options, hot food, and great coffee. The room was clean and comfortable. There wasn’t a microwave for reheating leftover pizza, which would’ve been handy. Even with traffic and a bus stop nearby in Brooklyn, we heard no noise at all and slept peacefully.

The shower was a bit of a hassle since there’s no door, so water tends to splash all over the floor. Room service was hit or miss, sometimes they came by and sometimes they skipped, though they did answer when we needed help. The staff were kind and helpful, and the hotel is pleasant, in a nice spot and decent neighborhood. A good place to stay in the Sheepshead Bay area.
