Hampton Inn By Hilton Ocoee Orlando

After 15 hours of travel, I arrived to find the hotel's systems were down. I waited close to 1.5 hours in the eating area with 8-10 others. There was still cereal on the floor from breakfast that morning. The system eventually came back online. I'm a lifetime diamond member and travel a lot, so I was very disappointed by the stay. The bathroom was grimy and the room floor needed better care. When I asked for a later checkout, I was told no, unless I paid $15 extra, and that checkout was at 11:00. The staff obviously didn't care. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was a highlight for me. I like the make-your-own waffle station, and the cinnamon waffle mix I had that morning was delicious. Check-in and check-out were easy, too. I travel a lot, and this was one of the nicest Hampton Inns I've stayed at. The room was spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was clean, with no rust or stains, and the shower looked brand new. I also liked the big bright mirrors and the wireless charging pad by the bed. I'd forgotten my charger, but setting my iPhone on it worked perfectly. The TV was good quality, and connecting my Xbox to the Wi-Fi for online gaming went smoothly. The property looks recently built, with modern, clean interiors and a peaceful, organized feel. Staff were professional and welcoming. There was plenty of parking, plus a Tesla charging station. Restaurants and food options are nearby, and DoorDash and UberEats work well here. I definitely recommend it.

Coffee was the one letdown. It was available, but only lukewarm at best and didn't taste great. Breakfast was okay, though we'd have appreciated a few healthier choices. The room was fresh looking and clean, with plenty of parking, outlets around the room, and a good hot shower. My wife is very bothered by dirty or smelly rooms, and this one had neither problem. I'm generally not a fan of Hilton hotels, but they got this one right. Felicia at reception was great: she gave us a warm, friendly greeting and followed up by text once we were in the room. She's going places.

The hotel is fairly new, very clean, and quiet. Damar at the front desk was amazing and made us feel welcome. An EV charger was a nice bonus. It's close to places to eat, with the mall not too far away. We'll definitely come back.
