The staff were friendly and ready to help, and the room was both clean and roomy. Breakfast was a highlight, with lots of hot choices.

We got decent beds and the room temperature was comfortable. For a small town hotel it wasn't bad, and even though the gym was tiny, it was useful on those windy 1°F days. The bathroom seemed clean, but my shoes stuck to the floor. Breakfast was a bit sad, so we grabbed something quick at the nearby gas station instead. The place didn't seem busy, yet they couldn't fit us in for three days in a row. After two nights we had to switch to the Motel 8. They're not pet friendly either.

I may look elsewhere next time. Breakfast could use more choices, and the Wi-Fi was no help: it failed in my room's section, so I went to the lobby, where the internet stopped working completely. The room itself was nice once I got in, and the bed was great. They seemed short on staff and would not allow any check-ins before 4 PM on the day of the biggest town event in 35 years.

I saw the workout room but didn't use it. The room was clean, the food was good, and it's a nice hotel in Oelwein.

It's a clean, pleasant place. Our bathroom exhaust fan wasn't working. I reported it at about 8 and heard back from maintenance. At breakfast, the waffle batter container seemed to have been reused. I had to take it out of the holder and pour it myself because the dispenser wasn't working, and the syrup dispenser wasn't either.
