We had a wonderful sisters' weekend at Blue Shutters Inn, and we'd love to return. It was our first time at a bed and breakfast, and the quaint, cozy place felt like staying at a family member's home. The coastal decor was beautiful, and breakfast was fresh, gourmet, and delicious every morning. Our room had everything we needed and was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The quiet, peaceful atmosphere and all the character made a lovely change from a busy hotel. The place has so much charm and nostalgia, and it made our stay special.

Susan was the only person working when I arrived, and even though a room was vacant but hadn't been cleaned, she got it ready right there and gave it to me for a very fair price. The owner and manager were sweet too, and served a proper homemade breakfast. Everyone was so lovely that I had to leave a review. It's a boutique motel in an old building, with a comfortable bed and a very quiet street. You can hear guests in other rooms and the building itself rumbling. I think the shower dates back to when my parents were kids. It reminded me of the kindness and consideration Airbnb used to have before real estate investors took over. A good choice if you want a cozy bed, fair price, and caring staff.

The suite was spotless, and the staff and owners couldn't have been nicer. My husband and I go to Maine during the first week of October for our anniversary, and this time we chose The Blue Shutters Inn. We were welcomed warmly and walked to our suite, where there were homemade cookies and water. There's also a path to Marginal Way that leads down to a beach. We decided to add breakfast, and it was delicious. When I mentioned our anniversary, they left a small cake in the room while we were out. Thanks for a great stay. We'll be back next year for sure!

Susan made us feel like family and was the heart of the Inn. Everyone added personal touches during our five-night stay that made us feel welcome. The property was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and beautifully landscaped. The former owners, Laurence and Glen, created a magical place, and we wish the new owners, Annie and Gerard, the best of luck. They're a lovely couple. Breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious, and the coffee was great. Laurence's cookbooks looked so tempting that I wish we'd bought one. We had fun at happy hour at the Trellis House, where Dee was a perfect host. It was a nice chance to meet other travelers and get ideas for the area. The location is hard to beat: Marginal Way and the beach are steps away, with shops and restaurants a short walk from the Inn. Leave the car and walk everywhere. Don't miss sunrise on Marginal Way, just steps away. It's breathtaking. We left relaxed and cared for, already planning to return. Take care out there, Susan :)

We loved celebrating our anniversary at this place last weekend and can't wait to return. The location is perfect, with a cute little path just steps away leading to Marginal Way. Glen, Lawrence, the owners, and Tommy were wonderful hosts, while Bentley, their fur baby, happily stole the show. Our loft was clean and decorated in a beach chic style, with all kinds of thoughtful touches that made it feel luxurious. The kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed and more. There was a balcony outside our room with tables and chairs, plus a lovely patio with a fire pit. Inside, the common area was nicely decorated and had board games and a fireplace. We especially enjoyed happy hour, sipping cocktails and having goodies while getting to know the other guests. Such a lovely little gem!
