We first stayed at The Dragonfly Guest House for our honeymoon in 2017, then came back in 2022 and 2025. My wife and I always feel comfortable and at home here. Charles and David are wonderful hosts, attentive and happy to chat or suggest fun things to do. The house is clean and cozy, and the rooms feel private. Breakfast has lots of choices, from homemade hot dishes to fresh fruit, and there are fresh-baked cookies every afternoon. You can walk to everything we want to do in Ogunquit, including the Marginal Way, Perkins Cove, the town square, and the beach. It’s an adult retreat in all the best ways. We’ll keep coming back, and I can’t recommend a better stay in Ogunquit.

Charles and David gave us a stress-free stay, helping with daily outings and serving delicious homemade breakfasts. We spent four days and nights at the Dragonfly Inn during a visit to Ogunquit, and the house and grounds are gorgeous. Its spot between the center of town and Perkins Cove was perfect for us. Inside, the atmosphere had the homey comfort and quiet exclusivity we look for when we travel. There’s plenty more I could mention, but we highly recommend spending your time at the Dragonfly Inn when you’re in the area. Thanks again to our hosts! Sincerely, Bill & Jim

We’re already looking forward to coming back. Charles and David are wonderful hosts, and each afternoon David has tasty cookies and a variety of drinks ready for guests. Charlie’s breakfasts are more than the usual bagels and yogurt, with fresh fruit and a hot breakfast dish. On Sundays, he makes his signature French toast.

The Dragonfly Guest House puts so much within walking distance. We can head to Perkins Cove, stop for a Footbridge Lobster roll (highly recommend it), browse shops like Lazy Daisy and Sea Bell, or eat at Brix & Brine and The Maine Catch. The beautiful beach is a mile away, and there’s also the walk along the Marginal Way. After the beach or shopping, we’re welcomed back with a freshly baked afternoon treat. Charles and David are phenomenal hosts, and staying there feels like visiting old friends. Charles makes a delicious breakfast each day, with different entrees and baked goods that are all so good I can’t pick a favorite. We like eating outside in their stunning gardens. Our room was comfortable and beautifully decorated with its own theme, and Charles and David seem to think of everything so you can relax and enjoy the stay.

Charles and David feed us lovely treats every morning and warm cookies in the evening. I tell them every time that I want to stay longer, though really I never want to leave. We’ve been coming to Ogunquit for more than 30 years. When we had a big family, we stayed in places around town that could fit us all. Once we became empty nesters, we wanted somewhere more intimate and comfortable. After a few summers of hits and misses, we found the Dragonfly Guest House. Even on your first visit, Charles and David make it feel like coming home. The house is solid and full of character, with a different charm in each room and area. It took us a few stays to realize the Lilac Room is our favorite, though there’s no bad spot in the whole place. It’s halfway between town and the cove, and a five-minute walk to the Marginal Way. We like Little Beach on the “Way,” a 10-minute walk from the house, and the main beach is easy to reach too. This year we didn’t move our car the whole visit.
