Hilton Garden Inn Oklahoma City Bricktown

The morning breakfast was perfect for me, and a big part of my rating comes from how well the hotel runs in the morning. Hot food was hot, cold food was cold, and the staff were attentive, polite, and smiling. At the front desk, the woman remembered our names throughout the stay and called guests by name. It’s the little things that make Hilton a better stay. The hotel was very clean, quiet, and well maintained. Thanks, Hilton, the people are what make you great.

The police presence outside the hotel was loud for a couple of hours, from about 1200-200am. We were also disappointed by the room. We’d booked a king for a rare date night without the kids, but got two queens instead. At check-in, things felt rushed. They handed us keys without telling us the room number, so we just went up. When I called to ask about the reservation, the woman said the king rooms were out of order and all they could give us was two queens. It was a bummer. I wish they’d told us earlier so we could have stayed at the Hampton Inn next door, where we usually stay and have never had a bad experience. We tried the Hilton for a change, but the whole stay was pretty disappointing.

Cam at valet was great. He greeted me with a smile every time I asked for my car, opened the doors, and helped me get a baggage cart. Very professional. I’d come back to this hotel because of the service.

We love the rooms and the price, and this seems like the best of the downtown places we’ve tried. The pool is a good size for small families, with a shallow end and steps, and there’s a great breakfast, restaurant, and bar. The front desk woman wasn’t very friendly when we arrived, and the housekeeping staff we passed weren’t either. Still, we’d recommend it.
