The evening was so quiet and dark, with beautiful stars to look at. There was plenty of space for parking and exploring, too. It has the feel of a classic retro motel, like something out of an American movie, right in the middle of nowhere. The motel manager was very nice, and the room was fine for a quick stop on our road trip. It made for a wonderful, authentic American experience. Fully recommend it!

We stopped here on the way to Death Valley and were really happy with the stay. It's a simple motel in a remote spot, and the customer service was awesome. Our room had a fridge, which was handy. There's no TV, but when you're there to explore the wilderness and wake up among mountains, you don't need one.

From the outside it looks like the beginning of a bad horror movie, but the stay turned out to be a solid option. The rooms were clean, though a little old, and had a small fridge and TV. There's a social area outside with potential for a nostalgic evening around the firepit, playing horseshoes. My main gripe was the incredibly soft bed. Someone might call it luxuriously soft, but I prefer a firmer mattress. If you don't need to stick to a national chain motel, this is a good low-cost alternative.

Huge insects kept crawling in from under the door, and I've never seen so many bugs in one place. The place was dirty and old, the WiFi didn't work at all, the towels were stained, and there was hair on the bedding. I would have been more comfortable sleeping in the car. It's way overpriced for what you get. I wouldn't stay here again even for 20 dollars. They could sell it to Hollywood for a horror movie. Don't make the mistake of sleeping here.

The room was cold because the main heater wasn't working, so they had put in small electric heaters instead. The wiring seemed old, and we lost power a couple of times. It was 32 degrees Fahrenheit outside, and the room cooled quickly because the door didn't seal well. The bathroom was freezing too, since the small heater couldn't warm it, so taking a shower was out of the question. The motel is very old and definitely needs renovation, which I expected, but the stained towels and hair on the bedding made it seem the bedding hadn't been changed after the previous guests. The hotel can be old, but it must be clean and warm. Also, according to the owner, the credit card machine wasn't working, so we had to pay cash and obviously didn't get our money back.
