The house and rooms have so much charm and history, and the fireplace and in-room hot made our night really relaxing. We stayed after our wedding and had an amazing experience. Evan was a gracious host and a phenomenal chef. It felt unique and unforgettable.

We’ve been coming back to this bed and breakfast for 20 years, and it still feels like a calm, warm little retreat. The house is quaint and elegant, with thoughtful details that show both its history and heart. The rooms are welcoming and comfortable, and breakfast is delicious, made with care and enjoyed at an unhurried pace. The host makes you feel like you belong, not just like someone passing through. That genuine, consistent hospitality is why we keep returning. In a world of trendy getaways and short-lived experiences, this place remains quietly special, cozy, and gracious. We feel lucky to have found it and to keep coming back.

Evan is a wonderful host with a wealth of historical knowledge. The property is decorated with gorgeous antiques, each with its own story, and breakfast was delicious, too. We only had one night and wished we could have stayed longer. Since there are so many breakable things around, I wouldn’t recommend it for children. If you’re after a quaint, distinctive historic stay, this is the place. It feels like stepping back in time while still feeling right at home.

We’ve stayed in plenty of hotels, resorts, and Airbnbs, and have returned here multiple times. The rooms have always been clean and the accommodations great. If posh is what you’re after, this isn’t the place. But for warmth, welcome, culture, and a divine breakfast, book it. Evan is a terrific host and phenomenal cook who has opened his home to give guests a glimpse of a bygone era. The house dates to 1833, and while there’s a lot of art and furniture around, you can explore, admire, and learn about it.

Evan’s attention to detail is incredible, and he cooks a delicious breakfast every morning. My husband and I stayed at this B&B for our elopement, and the house was beautiful, calm, and wonderful. We held our ceremony in the front parlor. The elopement package included a cake, champagne, a beautiful bouquet, and a certificate to a delicious local restaurant. The house also stayed incredibly warm in the middle of December, quite a feat for an old place. I’d give it six stars if I could.
