We spent Christmas break here for a week and felt comfortable. The property sits just off the main road, which was nice, and the Hampton Inn Oldsmar staff were consistently kind and accommodating. They respected our requests. One night the coffee seemed a little old, so I mentioned it. The front desk guy took the time to make a fresh pot, just long enough for me to get in a quick workout. There are plenty of places to choose from, but we picked this Oldsmar location and hope to come back.

The heater wouldn’t shut off on its own, so I had to keep adjusting it manually during the night. I was also charged $11.70 a day for parking. I booked through expedia, and that fee wasn’t in the total or mentioned at check-in or checkout. It appeared on my card two days later. That felt deceptive and lacked transparency. If parking costs extra, they should make that clear at check-in, as most hotels do. When I followed up, they blamed the third-party booking site, even though the transaction clearly showed Hilton Hotels(Hampton Inn).

The hotel was clean and quiet, and the free breakfast buffet ran until 10 am. The pool was nice, with a jacuzzi, but the water in the jacuzzi was set too low to feel as hot as we wanted. More towel hooks in the bathroom would help.

The front desk staff were friendly and smiling, and breakfast was good. Our king room was spacious, but it was on the top floor and the AC wasn’t central, so it felt hot. There was plenty of parking. Laundry cost $3 per item, with a 40-minute wash for delicates and about an hour in the dryer.
