Cold Spring Lodge

I've been lucky enough to come back every year, and the place has a lot of charm. The scenery was lovely even with the creek dry. Rose was a sweet manager and helped us out. Cabin 4 had a small fridge, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're bringing a year's worth of food. The coffee table had also been removed from that cabin. Other than that, I'd come back anytime. I stayed in cabin 4, by the way.

Waking up to the sacred mountain view with coffee was priceless. We had an unforgettable family getaway two weeks ago, renting two cabins and a hotel room. We had full river access and a pool for the kids. Rose was incredible and made sure our needs were taken care of. Such a beautiful place to stay. 🙏❤️🙏

We booked two cabins for our wedding party the night before our wedding because the property was close to our venue. Rose at the front desk was very nice and checked in on us, but one cabin's pullout couch was filthy, with mouse droppings, pistachio shells, and dirt all over it. I texted her that night with a video and got no response. At checkout the next morning, she apologized and said they were working on getting new housekeeping. We couldn't use the couch, though luckily we had an air mattress, and sleeping on it didn't feel safe. We found it at 9:30 pm the night before the wedding, with nowhere else to go. There were also spider eggs on the ceilings in all the rooms. I know it's a Catskills cabin, but those should be cleaned before guests arrive. I paid $600 for two two-bedroom cabins for one night, and was very disappointed, especially that no refund was offered, even for the cabin with the droppings. I wish Cold Spring and Rose well, but I wouldn't recommend staying here again unless they make much-needed improvements and clean more thoroughly. One partial bright spot: we had initially been offered a back area for a small pizza and wing night before the wedding. Several large windows there had no screens, so bugs or animals could get in, and there was a snake where we were meant to sit and eat. Rose came out to remove it and let us use the fully indoor bistro/game room instead.

The cabins are a little old, but they fit in well with the surroundings and are a good choice for a couple of quiet days. We had a great time here with friends and family. The location is beautiful and peaceful. Manager Rose was very helpful throughout our stay, and we appreciated the hospitality. We hope to visit Cold Spring Lodge again.
