Comfort Inn & Suites Fort Campbell

I've had to stay here with my kids, ages 6 and 3, every Saturday through Tuesday morning since January 2026. It's March 3, 2026, and every visit has been unpleasant, though the price is cheap. Except for one stay, I've found a dirty bathroom and stained sheets each time. I clean the shower myself with cleaning products. They won't give you fresh towels until you return the dirty ones, and there's basically no room cleaning. The toilet may or may not flush. One morning I had to walk the kids across the street to McDonald's so they could use the bathroom while we waited for maintenance. Today, March 3, 2026, they tried to keep my deposit. The first guy at the desk accused me of leaving a strong smoke smell, even though I had two kids in the room. The owner came around the corner to check, but before doing so, accused me of previously staining the tub with hair dye. I'm a Black man with a fade haircut, and my daughter is 6 and my son is 3. There was no hair dye. During that stay, he had also strangely knocked on the door to inspect after I caught housekeeping outside to swap towels. I'm guessing the supposed dye on the towels was juice I spilled and cleaned from the fridge. Why didn't they keep my deposit then if I stained the tub? Today he said I'd trashed the room, apparently over a Slim Jim wrapper and an Airhead wrapper. I did ultimately get my deposit back, but the owner told me not to book there again. He's merely a franchisee. I'll be filing a civil complaint in the near future.

After a 10-hour drive, I slept very well because the pillows were so comfortable and the room was very clean. I had reserved a non-smoking room, but they first put me in a smoking room that wasn't very clean and smelled strongly of smoke. I went back to the desk and asked for a non-smoking room, and they were able to switch me.

The price was right, and that was what mattered to me, so the stay was fine for the cost. Breakfast on the first day wasn't very good, with cold eggs and not much to choose from: eggs, waffles, toast, two cereals, and juice. There was no fruit or yogurt.

I paid for four hours of sleep, and the bed was comfortable. I didn't use anything else. The breakfast area had a strange smell when I checked out. I could have gotten a lower rate, but arriving after midnight made it hard to book on an app. I wish late check-ins made it easier to get a discount.
