The Marie Bed and Breakfast

Emily is a treasure: a welcoming innkeeper, great chef, and full of useful knowledge about the area. The two breakfasts she served us were among the best we've ever had, and every detail of the service felt just right. We had a wonderful romantic stay in a beautiful house with fascinating, authentic furniture and decor that suits its 130-year history perfectly. I can't recommend it more highly.

More than anything, I felt truly cared for by Emily. I even got teary because it had been so long since I'd felt that kind of hospitality. She was kind and attentive without ever being overbearing or insincere, and she packed up a few of my favorite things for the road. Her cooking is remarkable. I've had breakfasts at The Four Seasons that didn't come close, and she tells you about the local artisans behind the ingredients she uses. I came to The Marie B&B for a weekend break from a stressful, demanding job. Booking and arrival were easy, and picking up my key and stepping inside felt like being transported to a simpler, almost magical time. The house has such thoughtful decor, with local history throughout. My room, Walnut, was charming and comfortable, and I slept better than I have in ages. Thank you, Emily. I'll be back!

We had a lovely stay, from the great communication to the beautiful cottage and delicious breakfast shared with new friends. The Marie team even texted just before 3 to say our room was ready, which was a huge relief. I'd booked a 3:30 check-in even though we had an important wedding to attend at 4. After a long travel day, with nowhere to get ready and no early check-in available, I was stressed. The location was great, just a few minutes from the capitol building, in a quiet, cozy residential area. Breakfast was biscuits and gravy, exactly what I needed after a night of drinking and dancing. 10/10, I'd love to stay here again. Thanks to the staff for making it so enjoyable!

Emily, thank you for everything. You're such a blessing, and I'm hoping to find a spot there again soon. I know you fill up quickly, and I'm glad to hear you're expanding. If there were a Marie Bed and Breakfast everywhere I traveled, it would be the only place I'd want to stay, or have my family stay. The owners are helping revitalize a community that needs it, and I hope they keep doing that work. My aunt flew across the country to visit for my birthday, and the staff made her feel at home right away. She stayed in one of the private little villas, with amazing food included. Everyone she met was so kind and helpful. Emily, the manager, feels like family now. My mom is next to stay there! We live close enough to walk back and forth, which was so much better than dealing with hotels and elevators. If you're in Olympia, I can't imagine a better option. Book now, you won't regret it!
