The sheets were stained and the whole place was dirty. The dresser in our room leaned so badly that the drawers wouldn't stay shut. It was propped up with bits of wood and even a rock. The mini fridge was disgusting, with hairs and stains inside, so we kept everything in our cooler. We were lucky not to find bugs or other major filth beyond the neglected areas. If I hadn't been working at, I would have slept in my car. A local gas station employee said the place had recently been taken over by some Indians and that prices had jumped from $60 to about $100. At that quality, it wasn't worth more than $20.

We left without staying after checking in and seeing the condition of the room and beds. We immediately asked for a refund. The man who checked us in showed us another room, but the bedding there was stained too. We were so disappointed. The listing called it a hotel, not a motel, and said it was downtown Omaha, but it wasn't. I have nothing against motels, but the description was off. We booked a King suite, yet both rooms we were shown had two very small “double beds.” The man said he was giving us two beds for the price of one, but we're a couple and didn't want or need two small beds. We'd already paid for a king suite. The bedding was stained all over and had holes and burns. I'd give the place zero stars if I could. The experience ruined our trip. We spent all night trying to find somewhere else, but everywhere was booked solid even though we had made reservations days ahead. We ended up driving back and couldn't do any of what we'd planned for our weekend away. A total waste.

There was mold on the bathroom walls and around the sink, plus cigarette burns and a heavy smell in the carpet, bedspreads, tub, toilet, and counters. Hair and filth were everywhere. I had to go to Walmart for Lysol and paper towels to make the room somewhat tolerable, then leave the door open for hours to air it out. I've traveled for business for over 20 years and haven't seen a place this disgusting. The manager wasn't rude, but was very inept, and the whole stay was miserable. I booked because it was the only room in Omaha that weekend under $150 a night. I should have paid more for somewhere better. Housekeeping didn't seem to have made any attempt to clean. If this is the kind of place Choice hotels puts its name on, I'll never stay at a Choice branded hotel again.

The room looked nothing like the pictures, and people outside yelled and screamed all night. I had to buy cleaning supplies before I felt even a little comfortable showering. There was a week-old sock hanging on the wall above the TV, apparently in place of a smoke detector. I hope they don't need one. Only one outlet in the whole room worked. There were also floating trash cans that seemed to end up right in the middle of the stairs. Choice hotels should take this off its recommended hotel list.

The room I booked was okay, but the other room I reserved was disappointing. It was supposed to be non-smoking, yet smelled like cigarettes. While I was sitting in a chair, a used needle came out from between the cushions. There were lots of people around who didn't seem trustworthy, looking through other rooms' windows. Someone was sitting behind the vending machine charging a phone when we went to the ice room. We also found little bugs that looked like fleas and ticks crawling on the bed. The sheets and blankets had lots of stains. They looked washed, but were old and filthy and seemed due for replacement. I didn't feel safe at all and wouldn't recommend this hotel to friends, family, or anyone else. I was there only because places in Omaha and Council Bluffs were booked for a huge car event with over 5k people that weekend. Otherwise, I'd never go back. First and last time.
