Motel 6 Omaha, NE

It was quiet, and the bed was adequate, with a clean room, though it needed painting. But the room deodorizer was overpowering, and there wasn’t an adequate area for dogs despite the pet-friendly advertising. I’d reserved an ADA shower room, and none was available. The pool was closed too.

I’ve stayed here three times for work, mostly because I travel with dogs and the pet policy works for me. The first room, booked through AirBnB, was fine, though being near the front desk and common area meant a lot of hallway noise. I booked the next two stays through the company website. The second room was very dirty, with grime on the walls, filthy bathroom doors, and chipped paint. The third stay was a nightmare: half an hour after arriving, I had to switch rooms because there were roaches everywhere. The replacement room was a smoking room, and by the end of my work week my laundry and the bedding I’d brought smelled of cigarette smoke. While packing to leave, I saw roaches crawl from under the doors of two other rooms.

We could bring our dogs into the room, which was good. The shower was good too. But the housekeeper never asked if we needed anything, and we killed a few cockroaches in the room. This was in Omaha, Nebraska.

I moved to Omaha from California recently, and I’m really glad they let me stay with my four small Chihuahuas without charging a deposit, an extra fee, or anything. I’ve had no problems, though I mostly keep to myself. I’ve been here three weeks and booked another two. The rooms aren’t bad at all, so I’d recommend this place if you have dogs. I have nothing negative to say about my stay.
