Shore Lodge

The motel looked shabby and shady, and the room situation was a mess. We’d reserved two queen beds, but when the clerk processed our card, only a single bed was available. We were traveling as a father and daughter, and my father had told the clerk about his ankle disability and asked for an accessible room. The clerk said none were available and that the room also had no television.

First review, lol. The location’s not too bad, with Walmart and Food Lion a short drive away. But this place is horrible if you hate bugs. The old cockroach reviews are true, there was one in the AC, and the flies were so damn annoying. Check the AC if you actually come here. Our neighbors had dogs that kept barking, too. We picked two beds and they weren’t that bad, though I hope they actually clean them. The TV had no signal, so I had to watch everything on my phone. We barely had any service, so I’m not rating that. -Anz_iz 👍

My wife and two sons were driving from PA after a wedding, so I made them a reservation. After they’d driven five hours, the front desk clown said he couldn’t find one. My wife showed him the reservation, but he kept insisting there wasn’t one, scrolling up and down the computer and pretending to look. Also watch out in the parking lot. There are so many large potholes you’ll need an alignment.

I rented this room for my Mom and Step-dad, who were visiting from out of state. The room smelled awful, almost like someone had died in there, and it was infested with bed bugs. Springs were sticking out of the mattress, and one actually cut my mom. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
