The innkeepers were a big part of what made this stay so nice. When I asked for a blanket, the woman brought a frilly one because she knew it was for my daughter. My daughter called it “so aesthetic,” which is about the highest praise she gives. One Sunday night we got back late and weren’t sure where to park, but the gentleman innkeeper was outside to guide us. It felt cozy, like they’d been looking out for us. He even gave my daughter a couple of books, such a sweet gesture. We’d called ahead to ask which room we’d get, after seeing that the floor plan was on the inn’s website. We knew we probably wouldn’t have a bay view, but Onset Beach is one of our favorite beaches, and the price seemed fair for being so close. The room was charming and roomy enough for three, with a small kitchenette, microwave, and mini fridge. Plenty of storage and outlets, too. The windows had partly blocked bay views, and light came through the door, so we didn’t feel we missed out. Each room has its own section of the shared balcony, and we enjoyed breakfast there with a view of the bay. We did notice some of the small repairs and replacements other reviewers mentioned, but they mattered much less than the positives: the bay view, privacy in our corner room, lots of space, a comfortable bed, and lovely people.

The rooms had a neat, quaint look with a rustic New England feel, and the views were lovely. It’s an economical place in a convenient spot for Onset Bay. Check-in and check-out were the easiest ever, and the people running the hotel were really pleasant. Parking can be a bit tricky, but we managed even on a holiday weekend.

We were expecting something different. It’s an old house with cramped rooms that badly need updating, and the place felt moldy. The TV service was so outdated that The Beverly Hillbillies was the best thing we could find. There was a coffee machine but no cups or creamer. For $200 a night, there wasn’t daily housekeeping. Never again.

The location is hard to beat: right by the park where they play music, with lots of people passing outside, restaurants within walking distance, and the beach just steps away. There are ocean views, and the rooms were clean and open. It’s an older place and a little worn in spots, so don’t expect everything to look new and shiny. The AC in the kids’ room was really loud. That’s the only reason I’m not giving five stars. We’d absolutely stay again.

We had a large room looking out over the harbor across the street, and the beach steps were right there. Onset’s restaurants are just a short walk away. The staff are lovely, and the inn feels magical, charming, and wonderful. Couldn’t ask for more.
