It has that grand parents’ log cabin feel, but it’s very, very clean. The couple who own it are kind and friendly, and there are practical cooking amenities. You can get to the beach, and it costs a fraction of what other places in the area do. I highly recommend it and am planning some surf trips here this spring!

The owners were kind and down to earth, and I absolutely loved them, the cabin, and this location. The cabins are cozy and have everything you need, including AC & Heat. There’s a big yard to recreate in, plus they have bonfires at night. Across the road is private beach access, with a perfect rockbed to walk on in the lake. It’s hard to beat the location. It worked great for my hikes, and being outside town meant no people wandering around. I’d 100% stay here again!

The rooms are rustic, clean, and comfortable, and the owners are amazing. There’s an outdoor firepit, grills, and even a path to the beach. I’m here for two more nights and just love, love, love it. A highlight was watching them take down the flag. You could see the pride in it. This has been such a pleasant surprise. Thank you.

Our stay wasn’t planned, but it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The owners were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They had a campfire on the lawn one evening, and several guests sat around chatting. It’s a quaint old-style motel that’s recently been fully renovated. Our room was comfortable and nicely decorated with nature and outdoor themes. The grounds are well kept, and there’s access to the motel-owned beach about a city block away. The beach is sandy and easy to walk on. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and highly recommend it.

They even called us when we left something behind, and the staff were super friendly and accommodating throughout. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the outdoor area was cute, with picnic tables and grills. Excellent experience. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip to the UP!
